Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting a Request for Information to identify solutions for a comprehensive visitor management system initially supporting headquarters and potentially expanding across approximately 119 federal correctional facilities nationwide. The contemplated solution would modernize and standardize visitor, volunteer, contractor, and vendor processing in a correctional environment. Areas of interest include digital or self-service check-in, identity verification, watchlist and background-check integrations, visitor history, automated notifications, badge generation, Wi-Fi-based location tracking, color e-paper reusable badges, vendor pre-registration and credential management, document and insurance tracking, access authorization, reporting, analytics, and integration with access-control, surveillance, identity-management, and other security systems. Respondents are asked to describe organizational experience, technical capabilities, security and privacy compliance, implementation and staffing approaches, contract vehicles, past performance, acquisition considerations, and pricing models. Relevant considerations include CJIS compliance, FedRAMP capability for cloud solutions, FISMA and NIST controls, Section 508 accessibility, Privacy Act compliance, ATO support, 24/7 operations, phased implementation, and hybrid on-site/remote support.
