Description
Sumner County Government is requesting proposals for HVAC unit replacement at the Administration Building, Portland Library, and Millersville Library. The work includes removing and disposing of one existing chilled-water pump at the Administration Building and providing a same-capacity replacement pump with a triple-duty valve, suction diffuser, and butterfly valve, along with draining, filling, and air bleeding the piping system. The contractor must also provide two new 12.5-ton gas-pack units at Portland Library and two new 10-ton gas-pack units at Millersville Library. The scope includes equipment removal and disposal, required electrical work, piping, valves, insulation, heat tracing if necessary, BAS tie-in costs if necessary, crane and trucking costs, roof installation and any required roofing work, and compliance with applicable codes. New units must meet a minimum SEER2 rating of 14.0. Proposals must include warranty information, approximate equipment and material lead times, an estimated project schedule, total parts/materials/labor costs, and pricing if the County purchases the units directly. A required site visit must be completed at each location with County Maintenance staff. Payment and performance bonds are required for bids of $100,000 or more.
