Description
The project involves comprehensive modernization of the central plant, including replacement of boilers, chillers, pumps, piping, controls, and related equipment. The contractor must upgrade the electrical service, provide emergency backup power, replace related HVAC controls and devices in campus buildings, and improve condensate, ventilation, and communication systems in the utility tunnel. The work also includes providing heating and cooling service for the New Engineering Building, expanding plant capacity to accommodate additional equipment, and demolishing the coal boiler, baghouse, brick stack, and other obsolete coal equipment. All related work is included.
