Description
The City of Hendersonville is soliciting a complete, turnkey replacement and expansion of the Hendersonville Police Department's electronic access control system. The scope includes equipment, software, controllers, readers, locking hardware, wiring, programming, installation, commissioning, testing, training, documentation, warranty, and ongoing support. The selected contractor must evaluate existing components, migrate or replace access-controlled doors, integrate compatible existing equipment, and provide a scalable system with centralized credential management, event logging, reporting, cybersecurity features, administrative access, backup and recovery capabilities, and clearly identified recurring licensing or support costs. The project covers 17 existing hardwired access-controlled doors and six new electronically controlled doors across the department's main building and CID Annex, with unit pricing requested for 10 potential future doors. Proposals must address qualifications, at least three similar-project references, the technical solution, implementation approach and schedule, warranty and support, software licensing, system ownership and administrative access, subcontractors, and a detailed cost proposal. The anticipated substantial-completion period is 120 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
