Description
Pierce County is issuing a Request for Information to understand the development community’s capacity to identify, plan, permit, and develop tiny home villages and other non-congregate transitional housing projects. Potential approaches include respondent-provided sites, County-provided sites, site identification and development, and participation as part of a larger development team. Respondents may also describe capabilities or partnerships for operating completed housing projects, although housing operations and supportive services are not required. The County is seeking practical, planning-level information rather than detailed designs, engineering, site studies, or formal cost estimates. Potential projects may range from approximately five or ten units to villages of 25 or more units, up to approximately 60 units. Depending on the project, development may involve land-use and permitting work; site preparation; potable water, sanitary sewer, and electrical infrastructure; hygiene, laundry, kitchen, community, and staff facilities; emergency access; security, lighting, fencing, controlled access, solid-waste collection, and procurement or construction of housing units. Respondents must complete and upload the provided questionnaire through the County’s electronic procurement portal.
