Description
Pierce County is soliciting proposals for on-call landscape maintenance services at restoration and mitigation sites throughout the county. The scope includes vegetative maintenance, invasive species identification and control, native plant installation, site preparation, seeding, mulching, soil amendment, mowing and brushcutting, plant protection, erosion-control and slope-stabilization measures, inspections, and herbicide application in wetland, riparian, and upland areas. Contractors must use appropriate manual, mechanical, cultural, and chemical methods, comply with applicable permits, and furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, incidentals, and subcontractor coordination. The initial contract period is anticipated to be 24 months, with an option to renew for an additional three years. The resulting contract value is stated as $500,000, and the County may award multiple contracts. Proposers must have five years of restoration experience, appropriate aquatic-herbicide licenses and endorsements, and technical knowledge of native and invasive plants. Proposals are evaluated on presentation, qualifications, approach, and pricing; pricing carries 50 percent of the evaluation weight.
