Description
Pierce County is soliciting a professional, licensed contractor to provide periodic maintenance and repair services for various county-owned generators throughout Pierce County. Work must comply with the manufacturers’ technical specifications and applicable Washington prevailing-wage requirements. The initial maintenance and service contract is estimated at $450,000, excluding Washington State sales tax, and the initial public-works repair contract is estimated at $200,000. The County may add funds as needed during the contract term. Each initial contract period is one year from the Notice to Proceed, with an option to renew for one additional year, for a total term not exceeding two years. The solicitation requires a 5% bid bond for the public-works bid and a 100% payment and performance bond for the public-works repair contract; the successful bidder must provide a $500,000 contract bond for the total repair contract amount. A 5% retainage will be held.
