Description
Maui County is soliciting construction labor and materials for renovation of the Lalo Street Baseyard. The work includes demolition; concrete driveways, a driveway apron, and a slab; an Eco-Block retaining wall with drainage; chain-link fencing and a motorized sliding gate; ADA-compliant parking stalls; pavement markings, signage, and wheel stops; erosion and sediment controls; vegetation removal; cleanup; and associated electrical conduit, conductors, gate infrastructure, and card-reader pedestal work. The existing baseyard will remain operational during construction. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Public Purchase System and include the completed and signed bid materials, bid bond, signed Special Provisions, applicable subcontractor information, current literature for equipment and materials offered, warranty information, and required safety certification. The bid bond must be at least 5% of the total bid, including additives. Performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price, are required after award. The contractor must complete the required escorted site inspection and comply with applicable Hawaii construction licensing, prevailing-wage, safety, insurance, and Hawaii-resident workforce requirements.
