Description
The project requires construction of the Upper Waiko Road Sewer Extension and Waikapu Waterline Project. Major work includes approximately 2,700 feet of 8-inch PVC gravity sewer, sewer service laterals, precast sewer manholes, approximately 2,500 feet of 8-inch ductile iron waterline, water service laterals, fire hydrants, cleanout and air-relief-valve assemblies, ductile iron fittings, waterline connections, hydrotesting, and chlorination. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, permits, traffic control, erosion-control measures, excavation, shoring, backfill, pavement and striping restoration, site restoration, archaeological monitoring, and related construction services. Existing sewer, water, roadway, and utility operations must remain substantially uninterrupted. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Public Purchase System with the completed and signed proposal and a bid bond equal to at least five percent of the bid amount. The contract period is 365 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
