Description
The County of Maui is soliciting bids for construction of the Waikapu Road Subdivision Sewer System, Job No. WW21-07. The work includes approximately 2,700 linear feet of new 8-inch SDR 35 PVC gravity sewer, 51 single-service sewer laterals, 17 precast sewer manholes, one precast manhole with a shallow-drop connection, three connections to existing sewer manholes, exploratory probing, traffic control, erosion-control and best-management-practice measures, pavement and striping restoration, miscellaneous site restoration, grassing, archaeological monitoring, and mobilization/demobilization. The project is to be completed within 365 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bids must include the completed proposal, a bid bond equal to at least 5% of the total bid, the bidder experience and qualifications certification, proposed subcontractor information, and required Clean Water State Revolving Fund disadvantaged-business-enterprise forms. The solicitation also requires applicable contractor licensing, tax-clearance documentation, and other certifications. The project is funded through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund and includes federal requirements such as Davis-Bacon labor standards, American Iron and Steel, and Build America, Buy America provisions.
