Description
The County of Maui is soliciting a contractor for improvements at Waipuilani Park in Kihei, Maui. The work includes demolishing, removing, and resurfacing existing play courts; replacing the 12-foot perimeter chain-link fence with new fencing and wind screens; supplying additional wind screen; replacing the pickleball divider fence and chain-link fence gates; removing tree roots and installing root barriers; and restriping all courts, including replacement of net posts and sleeves. The project is a single fixed-price construction contract. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, services, and transportation, complete the work within 300 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, and submit the completed and signed proposal and bid bond through the online procurement website. A bid bond equal to at least 5% of the total bid is required. Performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract price are required after award. Public liability insurance naming the County of Maui as an additional insured is required after award, with limits of at least $250,000 per person and $1,000,000 per accident.
