Description
Sherman Township is seeking sealed bid proposals for a contractor to reconfigure and pave the existing gravel parking lot at the Sherman Township Hall site, located at 2510 Rhodes Rd in Turner, MI. The project includes supplementing the existing aggregate base, reconfiguring drives, grading, compaction, and installation of new bituminous asphalt pavement. Additionally, new storm piping and structures will be installed to replace the current open ditch between the parking lot and road. The scope of work also includes the removal and reconstruction of the existing township hall entrance vestibule to meet barrier-free requirements. The new entrance will feature new exterior concrete walks, and the building's exterior masonry walls and trim will be repainted in their entirety. Engineered drawings and specifications prepared by Russo Engineering, Inc. cover all aspects of the work. Bids are required to be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Sherman Township Parking Lot & Entrance Bid" by 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Bid documents are available for a non-refundable fee from Russo Engineering, Inc. The contract is intended to be a firm, fixed-price contract awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Construction is expected to commence as soon as practical after award and must be completed within 90 days, no later than October 31, 2026.
