Description
This solicitation is for the demolition of Building 4, an 842-square-foot brick structure built in 1943, and its conversion into an asphalt parking lot at the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research (NCAUR) in Peoria, Illinois. The scope of work includes demolishing the building and its contents, removing and disposing of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) in compliance with all federal and state laws, demolishing the foundation and footings, capping or disconnecting utilities, and preparing the site for parking lot construction. This involves grading the site, installing a minimum of 8 inches of compacted aggregate base course meeting Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) standards, applying a prime coat, and installing a minimum of 4 inches of IDOT-approved hot mix asphalt (HMA). The contractor will also be responsible for grading and restoring any disturbed areas with select fill and seeding. Davis-Bacon Wage Rates apply to this project.
