Description
Greenville Utilities Commission (GUC) is soliciting bids for the demolition of the Jarvis Street Elevated Tank Site foundation and associated site improvements. The project scope includes the demolition, removal, and disposal of all remaining tank foundation concrete, center pier concrete, concrete-filled vault, abandoned water main, and existing site fencing. This also involves the removal of associated rebar and steel reinforcement. Existing timber piles will remain in place, approximately 6-8 feet below final grade. The contractor will be responsible for providing compacted backfill, final site grading, and seeding to create a buildable lot. Additionally, a section of the retaining wall and any required trees will be removed to install a new driveway meeting City of Greenville standards. The site currently lacks driveway access, and retaining walls surround the east and north sides of the property. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining all required permits, ensuring regulatory compliance, site protection, erosion control, traffic control, site safety, and all other necessary work to complete the project. The estimated quantities for the scope of work include concrete pile caps, concrete center pier, concrete-filled vault, buried retaining wall, timber piles, site fencing, tree removal, abandoned water main, retaining wall removal and driveway installation, and backfill, grading, and seeding. Bidders are responsible for performing site investigations and field measurements to confirm quantities. The contract period is 60 days from the Notice to Proceed. At least three references must be provided to verify the ability to perform this work.
