Description
The Department of the Interior is conducting market research for construction services to correct fire-protection deficiencies at the Fossil Butte National Monument Visitor Center. The anticipated work includes replacing and expanding existing fire suppression systems, installing a new six-inch PVC fire-water line, a 45,000-gallon underground fiberglass water-storage tank, connections to existing water supplies, a fire pump, a fire pump house, and related pump-house services. The work also includes installing a propane-fueled emergency generator in a cold-weather enclosure, propane piping, electrical connections to the Visitor Center and pump house, a site enclosure wall, grading, and minor architectural items. Interested firms must submit a capability statement addressing business information, size status and certifications, relevant construction experience from the past five years, bonding capacity, technical capability, and interest in competing for a future solicitation. The response is limited to five pages, must be submitted electronically in PDF format, and this notice is for market research only rather than an offer opportunity or solicitation for award.
