Description
Pima County seeks comprehensive management of Class B biosolids produced at its Regional Biosolids Management Facility. The contractor must provide labor, materials, and equipment to load and haul biosolids, manage registered land application sites, and apply or otherwise beneficially use the material in compliance with applicable environmental regulations and permits. The work includes daily removal and hauling, site-specific agronomic-rate planning, land and permit management, monitoring, recordkeeping, and monthly and annual reporting. The solicitation estimates 26,000 dry tons over two years, with actual quantities varying; payment is based on actual wet tons handled. The contractor must demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience managing at least 60,000 wet tons of cake biosolids annually, provide evidence of land availability, and demonstrate the capability to obtain a $1 million performance bond. The contract is for one year with four one-year renewal options. Insurance certification and the performance bond, if applicable, are required from the successful offeror after the recommendation for award, not with the bid.
