Description
The City seeks a multidisciplinary engineering consultant to prepare a Design Concept Report for improvements to the 22nd Street corridor between Interstate 10 and Kino Parkway. The work includes evaluating at least three alternatives for the Union Pacific Railroad crossing—an overpass, an underpass, and an upgraded at-grade crossing—and recommending a preferred alternative. The report is to address roadway reconstruction, drainage, sidewalks and bicycle facilities, traffic signals and intersections, lighting, landscaping, utilities, right-of-way, environmental documentation, and related technical analyses and preliminary plans. The consultant will also support public engagement, including stakeholder coordination, public meetings and events, online input, and English-Spanish translation. The initial contract is limited to the Design Concept Report phase; the City may extend it for subsequent design work. Statements of Qualifications are evaluated in a two-step process, with shortlisted firms invited to presentations/interviews.
