Description
Pima County seeks a qualified engineering consultant to plan and design improvements to Thornydale Road from Cortaro Farms Road to Tangerine Road. The project includes a four-lane roadway with a landscaped median, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, intersection and signal improvements, drainage work, utility coordination and relocations, environmental assessment and mitigation, right-of-way support, community engagement, and preparation of phased construction plans and specifications. The work also includes a Design Concept Report, survey and mapping, geotechnical and pavement studies, traffic engineering, and coordination with the County, the Towns of Marana and Oro Valley, and a separately procured construction manager at risk. The County anticipates a 50-month project duration covering design and post-design services. The estimated construction budget is $70 million to $75 million. Respondents submit a single PDF Statement of Qualifications; pricing information is not requested at this stage. The County will evaluate qualifications and negotiate a contract with the highest-ranked firm. Certified Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate, and the attached Project Team Member Utilization Form is required with the qualifications statement.
