Description
UConn Health is soliciting proposals for on-demand snow removal and ice control at its UConn Health Partners location at 65 Kane Street, West Hartford. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, operators, supervision, and related services to clear parking lots, sidewalks, pedestrian pathways, stairs, ramps, emergency exits, and entrances. Services include plowing, snow shoveling and relocation, sanding and salting of parking lots, ice-melt application on sidewalks, drift clearing, and pre-season site preparation such as marker-stake installation and snow-storage planning. The contractor must maintain sufficient personnel and equipment for priority service at this ambulatory healthcare facility, with sidewalks, entrances, and parking lots clear by 6:00 a.m. Equipment must be properly maintained, safety-compliant, and available for inspection. The contractor must submit equipment and personnel information, a continuity/contingency plan, references, pricing, a sample invoice, and the completed solicitation forms. Subcontracting and offshoring are not allowed. The anticipated term is approximately May 1, 2027, through April 30, 2030, with two additional one-year renewal options.
