Description
The University of Iowa seeks qualified suppliers to test, inspect, maintain, and repair fire alarm and life-safety systems upon request across university facilities, including hospitals and clinics, campus buildings, housing, dining, athletics, and parking facilities. The known hospital and clinic scope includes approximately 30,000 alarms, with additional facilities and new buildings potentially added. Work includes comprehensive testing of alarm components and related interfaces, reporting deficiencies and corrective actions, quoting repairs, and performing requested repairs and follow-up inspections. Services must comply with applicable codes and standards, including NFPA 72, NFPA 101, Joint Commission standards, and CMS requirements. The solicitation also requires detailed inspection and deficiency reporting, coordination with university departments, qualified onsite personnel, and applicable NICET certifications and state licenses. Suppliers must provide hourly labor rates and pricing for materials and HEPA cart purchase or rental. The intended agreement term is three years, with two optional one-year extensions.
