Description
The University of Iowa is conducting an RFI to learn about accounts payable invoice-processing services and supporting technologies, including technology-only, managed-service, outsourced-processing, and hybrid models. The requested capabilities include invoice intake and data extraction, validation and coding, exception and duplicate handling, purchase-order matching, approval workflows, supplier communication, payment-file preparation, ERP integration, security and compliance, AI and automation, service levels, implementation, and pricing. Payment execution and EDI/GHX invoice processing are outside the stated scope; standard purchase-order invoices are in scope. The University reports 242,214 standard invoices and 163,810 EDI/GHX invoices processed in FY2026, with the latter excluded from scope. Respondents should organize responses into an executive summary, company overview, requested-information responses, supporting documentation, references, and budgetary pricing. Three service references are requested, with higher-education references preferred. This is an information-gathering exercise only: no award will be made, and the information may inform a future RFP.
