Description
The City of Fort Myers is soliciting construction services to replace aging infrastructure along the Michigan Avenue corridor from Seaboard Street to Veronica S. Shoemaker Boulevard. The scope includes sanitary sewer, water mains, storm drainage conveyance systems, a drainage bridge culvert, roadway reconstruction, streets, sidewalks, traffic control, utility connections, testing, restoration, signing and pavement markings, roadway lighting coordination, guardrails, pedestrian facilities, and associated work shown in the contract documents. The project includes removal and disposal of existing utilities, directional drilling, water and sewer construction, drainage improvements, bridge reconstruction, pavement and sidewalk construction, erosion control, an as-built survey, and installation of solar rectangular rapid flashing beacon assemblies. Responses must be submitted electronically through the City's OpenGov Procurement Portal. A 5% bid bond is required with the response; payment and performance bonds are required after award. The solicitation requires completion of the electronic questionnaire and bid schedule, applicable licenses and permits, a subcontractor list, required affidavits, and supporting qualification documentation.
