Description
This Sources Sought announcement requests capability information from firms able to provide hazardous waste services for the VA Northern California Health Care System. The sample statement of work covers inspection, packaging and repackaging, pickup, transportation, storage, recycling, treatment, and disposal of hazardous and certain recyclable wastes. It also includes waste characterization and sampling, emergency spill response, containers and labels, manifests, inventories, and recurring reports. Regulated medical waste, radioactive waste, mixtures containing radioactive waste, and universal waste are excluded. The sample scope anticipates recurring pickups at multiple facilities, generally monthly at some sites and less frequently at others, plus emergency spill cleanup initiated within four hours of notification. Contractors must furnish labor, equipment, containers, transportation, permits, and other resources. The sample SOW specifies a base period from July 1, 2026, through June 31, 2027, with four one-year options. This is market research only; no contract will be awarded directly from this announcement.
