Description
The Authority seeks a contractor to conduct four to six household hazardous waste collection events annually for residential participants. The contractor must provide trained personnel, equipment, collection and sorting, packaging, loading, transportation, and lawful disposal of accepted hazardous waste. The scope also includes separating latex paint for the Authority’s roll-off container, handling rechargeable batteries, maintaining required manifests and weight records, and providing disposal documentation. The solicitation specifies a maximum quantity of 145,000 pounds and allows pricing by pound or by event. Bidders must submit a site-specific technical approach, a Health and Safety Plan, a Spill Prevention and Contingency Plan, a site-specific Work Plan, organizational and experience information, and pricing. Subcontracting is permitted if disclosed and is subject to the Authority’s approval. The contract has a one-year initial term with up to two one-year extensions.
