Description
The County seeks a qualified hazardous waste management contractor to support landfill load-check operations and household hazardous waste collection programs. Services include staffing and operating four permanent collection centers, handling waste at three landfills, and supporting temporary collection events. Work includes receiving, sorting, categorizing, sampling and analyzing as needed, packaging, labeling, manifesting, transporting, treating, recycling, reusing, and disposing of hazardous waste, electronic waste, and other specified waste streams. The contractor must provide personnel, equipment, supplies, emergency response, facility upkeep, and related operational support, and comply with applicable hazardous-waste regulations. The scope also includes maintaining the Materials Exchange Program and security camera systems, with certain additional programs available as directed by the County. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the County’s eProcurement portal. Attendance at the mandatory pre-submittal meeting and site visit is required. The contract model states an initial three-year term beginning July 1, 2027; the solicitation does not state a total contract budget or award amount.
