Description
Granville County is soliciting a single-prime contractor for construction of a borrow area at the Granville County Oxford MSW Landfill. The work includes clearing and grubbing, stripping, excavation and stockpiling, unsuitable-soil removal and replacement, backfill and compaction, geogrid and filter-fabric installation, crushed-stone access-road paving, riprap, porous baffles, a sediment pond riser structure, a 24-inch corrugated metal pipe outlet, stabilization, and miscellaneous cleanup. The contractor must hold the required North Carolina Unlimited Commercial general-contractor license and identify major subcontractors on the proposal. A mandatory pre-bid conference is required for eligibility. The project must be completed within 75 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must provide references for similar recently completed projects, and the successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds, required insurance, permits, inspections, construction schedules, surveys, and construction documentation.
