Description
Cayuga County is soliciting sealed bids for a turnkey boiler replacement project at its Historic Post Office. The selected contractor must remove and legally dispose of the existing boiler equipment and furnish and install one high-efficiency, in-kind compatible replacement boiler, including burners, controls, valves, gauges, supports, combustion air, venting, gas piping, electrical work, condensate systems, insulation, firestopping, permits, testing, startup, commissioning, and integration with the existing building automation system. The work must produce a complete, operational, and code-compliant heating system, with all necessary incidental work included. The scope also includes factory-authorized startup, combustion analysis, safety and functional testing, four hours of on-site training for County maintenance personnel, closeout documentation, and applicable warranties. The successful bidder must provide preventive maintenance and emergency service for five years after final acceptance, including annual inspections, adjustments, testing, BAS communication verification, service reports, response-time commitments, and parts-pricing information. Bidders must submit detailed equipment specifications and equivalency documentation for any proposed alternate equipment, along with the required bid forms, certifications, references, financial information, insurance documentation, and other checklist items.
