Description
Onondaga County seeks a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, fabrication, delivery, and installation needed to enclose an existing outdoor quarantine area at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo Animal Health Center. The work includes approximately 130 linear feet of hot-dip galvanized expanded-metal panels, fabricated with 1-1/2-inch steel-angle framing and 1/2-inch, 9-gauge expanded metal mesh, with field-fitted closures and corrosion-resistant bolted attachments to the existing enclosure structure. The completed installation must create a continuous pest-exclusion barrier from floor through overhead openings, with no gaps of 1/2 inch or greater, while protecting animals, staff, visitors, existing facilities, and utilities. The contractor must perform field verification, provide shop drawings for approval before fabrication, coordinate work with zoo personnel, remove debris, and complete the work within 60 days after receipt of a purchase order. A single lump-sum price is required. Prevailing wage, insurance, a 5% bid bond, and a 100% performance bond are required.
