Description
SUNY Upstate Medical University is requesting qualifications from an architectural/engineering team to provide full professional design services for phased renovations to approximately 21,000–23,000 square feet on the fifth floor and 1,600 square feet on the second floor of its Cancer Center. Services include programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding support, construction administration, cost estimating, phasing, shutdown coordination, life-safety planning, infection-control risk assessment, and coordination with hospital stakeholders and regulatory authorities. The project will expand hematology-oncology, transplant and cellular therapy, early-phase clinical trials, infusion, pharmacy, and urgent-care capabilities while maintaining uninterrupted clinical operations. The team must demonstrate at least five years of experience designing Article 28 infusion and pharmacy facilities in hospital environments. The solicitation requires qualifications describing the proposed team, relevant experience, references, resumes, licenses and authorizations, subconsultant participation, and specified New York State certifications and compliance forms. No cost proposal is requested with the qualifications package; fees will be negotiated with the highest-ranked consultant.
