Description
The California Highway Patrol is soliciting bids for a complete hydraulic system upgrade for two hangar doors at its Academy Special Weapons and Tactics facility. The contractor must furnish and install hydraulic system rebuild kits, 5-horsepower single-phase hydraulic power units, heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders, high-pressure hoses, and hydraulic fluid, along with all required labor, tools, equipment, supervision, and related costs. The work includes safely removing existing hydraulic components; installing and connecting the new power units, cylinders, hydraulic lines, and electrical connections; flushing and bleeding the systems; pressure testing under full structural load; adjusting physical and electrical limits; cleaning the worksite; and completing final inspection and commissioning. Bidders must hold the specified California contractor licenses and Department of Industrial Relations registration. The resulting agreement is anticipated to run from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with a two-year workmanship and materials warranty. A payment bond equal to 100% of the agreement value is required, and insurance requirements include commercial general liability, automobile liability, pollution liability, and workers' compensation/employer's liability coverage.
