Description
The City of Puyallup is soliciting proposals from entities seeking funding from its HB 1406 sales tax credit fund. Approximately $1.3 million is currently available, with about $194,000 collected annually. Eligible proposals may involve capital investments to acquire, rehabilitate, or construct affordable or supportive housing; operations and maintenance of affordable or supportive housing; or rental assistance for tenants. Funded housing units may only be provided to households earning no more than 60% of area median income. Proposals must include the submitting entity's background and qualifications, a detailed project description and requested funding amount, relevant prior experience and references, a project budget, other financing sources if applicable, an implementation schedule, and project personnel information. The City Council will make the final decisions regarding proposal selection and allocation of funds.
