Description
King Conservation District is seeking individual consultants, consulting firms, or groups of consultants for a strategic initiative focused on improving access to farmland in King County, Washington, in support of objectives identified in the 2025 King County Local Food Initiative. Individual farmers are not eligible unless applying as consultants or part of a consultant group. Work must occur within King County and may not take place within the city limits of Enumclaw, Federal Way, Pacific, Milton, or Skykomish. The selected consultant will enter into a contract for services, rather than a grant, and must provide quarterly progress reports and invoices. The initial work plan may not exceed one year, with funding reconsidered annually for up to five consecutive years; renewal consideration requires a written request, updated work plan, and updated budget. Overhead, administrative, and indirect costs may not exceed 25% of salaries and benefits. Applications are submitted through the grant portal, and only one person may submit an application for a consulting firm or group.
