Description
The University of Washington Housing & Food Services is soliciting proposals for a multi-year contract covering exterior window washing and related services across its facilities. Contractors must perform window washing, annual roof-anchor inspections, and 10-year roof-anchor certification testing. Residential-building exterior windows are generally cleaned every other summer, and the contractor must provide the labor, supplies, materials, safety equipment, procedures, and reporting needed for the work. The solicitation requires vendors to have at least five years in business, experience with commercial residential buildings, a current business license, a Puget Sound-area location, and attendance by at least one company representative at the mandatory hosted walkthrough. Optional or related services may include gutter cleaning and repair, pressure washing, Corten steel cleaning, solar-panel cleaning, graffiti removal, and limited interior cleaning. The contract is expected to have an initial two-year term with four one-year extension options, with an estimated initial value of approximately $250,000 per fiscal year.
