Description
The City of Seattle is soliciting bids for new, complete, frost-proof small single-jet and multi-jet cold water meters in 5/8-inch by 3/4-inch, 1-inch, 1-1/2-inch, and 2-inch sizes. Bidders may offer visual-read registers, AMR-enabled encoded registers compatible with Itron radio units, or both. Meters must meet applicable AWWA C708 or C712 standards, NSF/ANSI Standard 61 requirements, specified connection and material requirements, and a 150-PSI operating-pressure requirement. Zenner-PMN and Master Meter-BLMJ are listed manufacturers, but approved equals may be proposed with supporting documentation. The City expects multiple awards and requires vendors to maintain adequate inventory, provide an order desk, respond to orders and inquiries within one business day, and deliver routine orders within 15 calendar days. The contract term is five years with one optional two-year extension, with no guaranteed utilization or minimum order quantities. Bidders must provide unit pricing through the City bid tables, identify the manufacturer, and submit required portal forms including the Vendor Questionnaire and Certification Regarding Lobbying. Approved-equal documentation is required when applicable. The apparent successful vendor must later provide licensing, insurance, dealer certification if applicable, and a W-9 before contract execution.
