Description
Seattle Public Schools is requesting proposals from a consultant or firm to provide on-call conceptual architectural and engineering planning and construction cost estimating for potential projects under the District’s Building, Technology, Academics/Athletics VI capital levy. Services include conceptual layouts, construction concepts, scope narratives, site-specific Owner’s Program Requirements, project description updates, clean-energy and building-envelope integration, off-site improvement review, property purchase due diligence, and detailed estimates for construction, renovation, expansion, infrastructure replacement, and athletic-field conversion projects. The anticipated work may include up to five elementary-school additions or modernizations, up to two natural-to-synthetic athletic-field conversions, up to two site acquisitions, and related major on-site and off-site improvements. Required disciplines include architectural, structural, civil, geotechnical, mechanical, and electrical services, either within one firm or through a subconsultant team. Proposals are limited to 15 single-sided pages, must include a signed Proposal Certification Form, and must address company qualifications, at least three relevant projects, approach, pricing, and willingness to accept the District’s contract terms. The contract is anticipated to be time-and-expense, not-to-exceed, with a term through August 31, 2028, although it may end sooner or continue beyond that date.
