Submission Instructions
Description
This design-bid-build construction project includes removal of approximately 72,554 square yards of existing asphalt pavement, aggregate base course as needed, and sections of sidewalk and curb. The contractor will construct new pavement consisting of three inches of asphalt concrete over existing or new aggregate base course, replace sidewalks and ramps in compliance with ADA standards, and perform associated traffic control, dust control, utility coordination, testing, and restoration. The work also includes approximately 1,787 linear feet of new six-inch PVC C900 water main, new service connections, fire hydrants, utility trenching, testing, disinfection, commissioning, and related appurtenances. A bid bond of at least 10 percent of the bid amount is required with the submission. The successful contractor must provide 100 percent performance and payment bonds and required insurance after award. Substantial completion is required within 180 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, followed by final completion within an additional 30 calendar days.
