Description
The Superior Court of California, County of Imperial, is soliciting a contractor to refinish wood book shelving in court chambers. The work includes matching court-provided stain colors; light repairs, patching, caulking, and surface preparation; application of a clear satin protective finish; protective coverings, ventilation, cleanup, and movement and reinstallation of furniture, signage, and equipment as needed. Work must be scheduled outside court business hours, generally between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on weekdays, weekends, or holidays, with advance court approval. The contractor must protect the building and repair any damage caused by its workforce, dispose of removed materials off-site, comply with California public-works prevailing-wage requirements, and provide requested certified payroll. The installation must be guaranteed for at least five years, and the product must carry a ten-year warranty. Equivalent alternative materials require court approval and samples before use.
