Description
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking multiple master agreements to prequalify marine construction contractors for priority rehabilitation work orders at its New York and New Jersey marine terminals. Potential work includes timber and concrete pile encasement, pile extensions and replacements, bulkheads, decks, seawalls, pile caps, structural and concrete repairs, underwater excavation and concrete work, pile cleaning and wrapping, mooring cleats, and related marine structure work. Prequalification does not guarantee a work order; qualified firms will compete for future work packages. The program has an estimated total work value of up to approximately $100 million. Range A is limited to local Port Authority-certified M/WBE and SDVOB firms for work orders up to approximately $2.5 million, while Range B is open to all qualified firms for work orders greater than $2.5 million. Respondents must demonstrate relevant marine construction experience, qualified key staff, safety performance, subcontracting and M/WBE/SDVOB participation history, financial responsibility, bonding capacity, and required licenses or certifications. The master agreements are anticipated to last six years with two one-year extension options, and the program includes 20% MBE, 10% WBE, and 3% SDVOB participation goals.
