Description
This public-works bid is for a turn-key, pre-engineered outdoor learning shade canopy at Vista Continuation High School. The scope includes furnishing and installing the fabric shade structure, structural members, shade sail, factory finishes and touch-up work, concrete foundations with excavation, reinforcing steel and backfill, fasteners, brackets, supports, hangers, flashings, final connections, utility coordination, protection of existing underground utilities, off-site removal of spoils, and as-built documentation. The bid includes an alternate for the outdoor learning shade canopy. The prime contractor and applicable mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractors must be prequalified before bidding. Prospective bidders and covered MEP subcontractors must submit the Owner's prequalification questionnaire and financial statement no later than 10 business days before the public bid opening and must be announced as prequalified no later than five business days before opening. The project is a prevailing-wage public-works contract with an estimated value of $70,305.39, a 490-calendar-day duration, a 10 percent bid bond, 100 percent payment and performance bonds, required insurance, and a three percent Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation goal or documented good-faith effort.
