Description
San Luis Obispo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District is conducting the first step of a two-step procurement to prequalify horizontal directional drilling contractors or subcontractors for the Nacimiento Water Project Unit G Repair. The anticipated work includes approximately 1,230 linear feet of 20-inch high-pressure welded steel water pipe installed by HDD, as part of a larger pipeline realignment and storm-damage repair project. Applicants must complete the prequalification questionnaire, provide current reviewed or audited financial statements, demonstrate at least five similar HDD drives completed within the last 10 years, and provide qualifying experience resumes for the superintendent, drill operator, drilling fluid and separation plant specialist, and HDD engineer. Applicants must also address licensing, public-works registration, insurance, workers’ compensation, financial capacity, legal and performance history, and required certifications and attachments. Prequalification is mandatory for contractors or subcontractors intending to participate in the subsequent construction bid, but it does not guarantee a contract award.
