Description
New Mexico State University is seeking a qualified Design Professional to provide comprehensive architectural and engineering services for the Integrated Digital Enterprise Accelerator Lab facility supporting advanced energy research, testing, education, and workforce development. The scope includes programming and existing-conditions verification; architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, technology, telecommunications, code-compliance, and life-safety services; schematic design; design development; construction documents; cost estimating; value engineering; Guaranteed Maximum Price coordination; bidding and procurement support; construction administration; commissioning coordination; and project closeout. The planned facility will include flexible research and office space, electrical and chemical laboratories, an approximately 3,200-square-foot ISO Class 6–7 cleanroom, a 400–600-square-foot dedicated AI and machine-learning server room, and up to approximately 8,600 square feet of high-bay testing space with outdoor access. The design must support a grid-connected microgrid, on-site solar power, battery storage, electric-vehicle charging, specialized research electrical and gas systems, advanced laboratory equipment, phased procurement, accelerated delivery, and continuous coordination with a Construction Manager at Risk. Final construction completion is required no later than June 15, 2028.
