Description
The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, on behalf of South Georgia State College, is soliciting qualifications from architectural/engineering firms for Project J-476, Library Renovation. The approximately 32,000-square-foot library renovation may include building-envelope improvements; waste, restroom, electrical, lighting, and specialized HVAC systems; abandoned-infrastructure remediation; accessibility and code-compliance improvements; interior finishes, furniture, shelving, and space reconfiguration; and sustainable-design measures, including Georgia Peach certification with commissioning. The selected design professional will provide comprehensive planning and design services, including existing-conditions analysis, measured drawings, conceptual and schematic design, design development and construction documents, interior design, furniture and equipment layouts, signage, mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire-protection/communications and structural design, cost estimates, code review, commissioning support, and construction administration. The applying firm must perform at least 50% of the architectural design services in-house. The preliminary construction cost limitation is $2,200,000, and the anticipated design professional base fee is approximately $250,000. The initial qualifications submission is limited to one electronic PDF of no more than 50 pages; shortlisted firms may later be invited to submit a fee proposal and attend a mandatory site visit and interview.
