Description
The City of Charlotte is soliciting bids for an undetermined number of water and sewer projects assigned by the Project Engineer. Work may include water and sewer extensions and replacements, low-pressure sanitary sewer, water distribution system reliability improvements, and sanitary sewer capacity assurance projects. Bidders must submit the C-410 Bid Form and CBI Form 3, which identifies subcontractors and suppliers and their committed dollar amounts. The project has a 9% Small Business Enterprise subcontracting goal. Bidders must either meet the goal or satisfy the good-faith-effort requirements and earn at least 50 points; failure to meet the goal and applicable good-faith-effort requirements may result in rejection. If the goal is unmet at bid opening, a finalized CBI Form 3 with additional SBE participation may be submitted within 24 hours after opening. The pre-bid presentation also identifies CBI forms and supporting documentation that may be required depending on the bidder's circumstances.
