Description
The City of Charlotte is soliciting bids for construction of the Belk Greenway Connector, Phase 1. The work includes a cycle track with a monolithic island buffer; median removal and replacement; curb ramps, pedestrian push buttons, poles, and signals; traffic signal relocation; drainage structure conversions; resurfacing; pavement markings; concrete sidewalks and bus platforms; erosion and sedimentation controls; utility adjustments; and temporary pedestrian and traffic-control measures. The itemized bid includes roadway, drainage, concrete, pavement-marking, traffic-signal, video-detection, observation-camera, water, sanitary-sewer, and related construction items. The project has an estimated cost of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Bidders must be prequalified with the North Carolina Department of Transportation before bid opening and must comply with applicable licensing requirements. A 5% bid security is required for bids of $100,000 or more. The project is federally assisted and has no DBE participation goal. The date of availability is upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with final completion required within 360 calendar days and an intermediate completion requirement of 270 calendar days.
