Description
The City of Charlotte, through Charlotte Water, is seeking multiple contractors to provide comprehensive, on-call finished surface cleaning and restoration services at seven primary Charlotte Water facilities and other sites as needed. Services include light and deep cleaning, stain removal, minor repairs, full restoration, finish reapplication, sealing and coating for carpet, ceramic tile and grout, sealed and unsealed concrete, luxury vinyl tile, marble, resinous coatings, rubber flooring, stone, terrazzo, and vinyl composite tile. The scope also covers interior and exterior glass, masonry, metal, stone, wood, high-bay dusting, HVAC rigid ductwork cleaning, pressure washing, and upholstery or textile cleaning. Contractors must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, transportation, safety measures, wastewater management, documentation, and reporting. Work is issued through task orders on an as-needed basis, with emergency or special-request services available within 48 hours. Proposals must include a cover letter, proposed solution, pricing schedule, proposal submission form, references form, SBE utilization form, contractor safety assessment form, company background questionnaire, and any exceptions to the RFP or sample contract. Submissions are made electronically through the procurement portal. The initial contract term is three years, with up to two one-year renewal terms.
