Description
Eugene School District 4J is soliciting bids for the Gilham Elementary School Cooling Upgrades 2026 project. The scope of work includes the installation of a new chilled water pump station and piping, a new air-cooled packaged chiller, new cooling coils and drains in existing air handling units, new cooling coil flow control valves, and new cooling/heating system changeover valves. Additionally, the project involves installing new VRF systems in three existing classroom pods, new pipeline thermowells and pressure sensor connections, and new electrical service to the chiller and modifications to existing electrical systems. The project also requires coordination with a separate controls contractor, startup, testing, adjusting, balancing, and training of District Facilities O&M Staff. Bidding documents are available electronically starting June 16, 2026, via the 4j hyperlink: http://www.4j.lane.edu./bids/. A mandatory pre-bid conference and walk-through is scheduled for June 26, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the school, located at 3307 Honeywood St. Bids are due by 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, and must be submitted electronically to CIP@4j.lane.edu. Late bids will not be considered. Bid results will be posted online following the deadline. A bid bond or certified check for at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount is required. Bidders must be registered with the Construction Contractors Board or licensed by the State Landscape Contractors Board. For bids $100,000 or greater, a public works bond of $30,000 is required.
