Description
The School Board of Volusia County, Florida, is requesting qualifications from an architectural firm for the Atlantic High Career and Technical Education Building Addition, Project No. 2748314. The estimated construction cost is $12,000,000. The project will provide a new addition containing manufacturing and industrial technology facilities, an aviation and aerospace instructional lab with classrooms and aviation simulators, and an architecture and construction trades learning lab with classrooms and flexible workstations. The selected firm will provide comprehensive architectural and related professional services, including campus planning, landscape architecture, civil, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, irrigation, and plumbing engineering; interior design; estimating; construction documents; permitting and regulatory coordination; bidding or construction-manager support; construction administration; site observation; cost control; scheduling; and closeout services. A current Certificate of Qualification from the School Board is required. Submittals must be organized into nine tabs, include a combined PDF of no more than 60 pages excluding specified items, and address firm experience, financial strength, staffing, project approach, workload, and references. The solicitation requires insurance evidence or proof of insurability and at least three recent reference letters for comparable public K-12 projects.
