NOTICE TO BIDDERS The City of Port Jervis will receive sealed proposals on the following until 3:00 p.m. on October 1, 2026, at Office of the Clerk-Treasurer, City of Port Jervis, 20 Hammond Street, Port Jervis, New York 12771: Design and Engineering Services Riverside Park Revitalization All proposals received pursuant to this notice will be publicly opened and read on 1 October 2026 after 3:00 pm or a subsequent date to be announced. Specification forms for this project and proposal may be obtained from the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer, City of Port Jervis, 20 Hammond Street, Port Jervis, New York 12771. To request a package, contact the City Clerk Treasurer via email: ClerkTreasurer@PortJervisNY.gov with a cc: to Valerie Maginsky email: Director@PJCDA.org All proposals must be accompanied by a certificate executed pursuant to section 103-d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. Description
The City of Port Jervis is seeking proposals from qualified firms to redesign and revitalize Riverside Park, a 40-acre riverfront park and Downtown Revitalization Initiative project. The requested team may include architects, landscape architects, recreation planners, environmental engineers or ecologists, and other specialists capable of developing an engaging, aesthetically pleasing design suitable for a riverbank location. Potential improvements include dispersed parking, renovation of a water tower with welcome signage, a replacement pavilion, new bathroom and concession/storage facilities, a larger covered stage with side walls, a concrete skatepark, basketball, pickleball, and/or tennis courts, a perimeter walking loop or dike trail, an inclusive shaded playground, landscaping, trees, benches, picnic tables, and decorative perimeter fencing. The existing softball field and bike pump track will remain, although they may be relocated during final design.
