Description
Fayetteville Public Works Commission, acting as lead agency for a joint bid with Cumberland County, seeks a contractor to provide turnkey hydrogen sulfide odor and corrosion control services for wastewater collection systems. The scope includes supplying nitrate solution and iron salt solution; furnishing, installing, operating, and maintaining chemical storage, pumping, piping, sampling, electrical, and remote monitoring equipment; managing chemical inventories; and performing system monitoring, weekly sulfide testing, quarterly gas studies, reporting, optimization, and responsive maintenance. The program covers 13 wastewater lift-station chemical feed sites owned by PWC and Cumberland County. The contractor must provide one-liter samples of proposed products and current material safety data sheets. Performance requirements include continuous hydrogen sulfide monitoring, monthly reporting, 24-hour response to equipment failures, two-hour response to odor complaints or other problems, and maintenance of specified hydrogen sulfide levels. The service agreement is for one year beginning on or about November 1, 2026, with up to two additional one-year extensions. Bidders must submit the completed pricing form and required attachments and forms, including the debarment certification, economic impact disclosure, applicable exceptions forms, and addendum acknowledgments.
