Description
The Ohio County Development Authority is soliciting bids under two mutually exclusive schedules. Schedule A requires loading, hauling, and disposal of approximately 52,000 cubic yards of existing concrete debris. Schedule B requires crushing the stockpile, separating and disposing of reinforcing steel, and stockpiling the crushed material on site. The owner may select and award either schedule. The work must be substantially completed within 60 calendar days after contract times commence and fully completed within 90 days. Liquidated damages are $500 per day. Bids require a certified check or bid bond equal to 5% of the base bid, a West Virginia contractor's license, and a Drug Free Workplace Certification. A two-envelope submission system is required, with the bid proposal placed inside Envelope No. 1. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
